Sneakpeak – World Renown Youth Training Program
A document was recently circulated which provides a very rare glimpse into how one of the best youth programs in the world was run. The AFC Ajax have helped create some of greatest players of all time including Johan Cruyff.
Though this document was from the late 90’s, it’s amazing to see how well its held up tactically speaking and goes to show how ahead of their time they were.
I recommend Extra coaches pay attention to the recruiting section, and their breadth of training regimen. Though it’s not something easily copied at this level, hopefully it will spark some ideas about how to round out your sessions. It also has plenty of training sessions included for those looking for new (again) ideas for tactical/technical practices.
